Discussion Paper on “Public Inquiry Into the Potential Declaration of Certain Wholesale Telecommunications Services”
Further to the Public Notice issued by the National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA), this notice serves to advise all interested parties, stakeholders and holders of various licenses issued by NICTA, that the deadline for submissions in response to the Discussion Paper on the potential declaration of Certain Wholesale Telecommunications Services has been extended by a further four (4) weeks from 29th June 2018. The new deadline for written submissions is now set at noon Tuesday, 31st July 2018.
NICTA invites interested parties to submit written comments in response to this Discussion Paper. Submissions should be supported with evidence and data where possible. Submissions should be submitted via email to inquiry.submission@nicta.gov.pg and must be received by 12 noon Tuesday 31st July 2018. Alternative means of submission may be made available to accommodate individual members of the public.
Copies of all submissions received will be published on NICTA’s Public Register consistent with the requirements on NICTA under subsection 229(3) of the National ICT Act 2009 (subject to NICTA’s consideration of any claims for confidentiality).
The Discussion Paper is available from NICTA Head Office located at Level 4, Tower 1 Stratos Building, Savannah Heights, Port Moresby or can be downloaded from NICTA’s Public Register at its website: www.nicta.gov.pg.
This notice fulfils the requirements of Section 231 of the Act.
