The Papua New Guinea Safer Internet Day Committee continues to do awareness on the safer use of internet to protect children and young people who are more vulnerable to cyber abuse.
Today team from Telikom Foundation, NICTA and PNG Royal Police Constabulary, particularly the cybercrime unit visited Kilakila Secondary School in Port Moresby to address the students. Different speakers spoke about different topics to empower students to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively. The #saferinternetday campaign that runs till the end of this month aims to reach out to children and young people, parents and careers, teachers, educators and social workers, as well as industry, decision makers and politicians, to encourage everyone to play their part in creating a better internet.
